This website provides news and updates about the Workspace Migration project where we will go from using a Microsoft environment provided by the University of Leeds (@leeds.ac.uk) and our own Google workspace (@luu.org.uk) to a Microsoft environment dedicated to LUU (@luu.ac.uk) run with help by an IT provider called Littlefish.
Why?

Our current IT setup, with responsibilities split between the university and our internal Digital Services team, and with two workspaces - university Microsoft and LUU Google - is not effective for resilience and sustainable IT operations.
We do not have a stable base to develop for the future and there are numerous operational risk and user experience, cybersecurity and efficiency challenges in our current setup.
When?
When?
After scoping staff questions in 2023 - remember the Coffee & Cakes sessions? See Staff Feedback - we tendered for support in 2024 - choosing Littlefish - and were successful in receiving funding from the university to make the switch in 2024/25.
After establishing some of the preparation work at the end of 2024, the project will begin at the start of March 2025.
